ACPO Principle 3 States: An audit trail or other record of all processes applied to computer-based electronic evidence should be created and preserved. An independent third party should be able to examine those processes and achieve the same result. Ref CPS HERE

ENCRYPTED

The core database in P3N is encrypted to ensure the system is completeley secure and un-editable

SECURITY

Each user can be assigned to a group. Users, Managers and Administrators where special level of access are granted.

AUDITABLE

P3N provides a full audit trail from the beginning of the case. Every note made is recorded with the users details even if they simple open the case to read.


INDIVIDUAL LOGINS

Each user is provided with a username and password to ensure the users details are unique and secure.

UNEDITABLE NOTES

Any notes committed or read within the P3N interface are completely un-editable

INPUTS

Using one of our unique Computer or Mobile Device template provides ease of use to input date, or use our freehand method to assist in capturing notes designed for the forensics prectitioner


TIME STAMPED

Every note and login is time stamped within the notes

PRINT

Notes are printable to provide a copy to third parties and to attend court.

MOVEMENTS

Record and track the movements of an exhibit around the department.


STATS

Managers will have the ability to track users completed and open examinations and record stats for each month/year

PHOTOS

Add photos directly into the un-editable notes

BACKUPS

Auto backups can be set weekly or daily. Backups can backup the entire system. Restore features allow complete or partial database records to be restored

HARDWARE

P3N can provide as part of our custom packages a comprehensive setup to ensure you are always connected:

  • An onsite plug and play server to run P3N
  • A backup server, located onsite, to swap in if needed
  • SOAC (System on a Card) setup - the entire P3N system is provided on a memory card for support/swap in if needed
  • Database stored on separate memory meaning it never leaves your offices
  • Weekly or daily backup system for onsite or offsite storage

TRAINING

To ensure staff buy-in and service continuity, we offer 3 training sessions as part of our service setup:

  • One half day ‘user’ training session

For all potential users of P3N to attend and covers usage of the system

  • One half day ‘manager’ session

To allow managers to use the system but also understand the reporting side of P3N and to assist on customisation aspects

  • One half day ‘admin’ training session

To cover backup, support and configuration services of P3N
In addition, access to online video training is also provide via a private website which tracks user access, allowing you to see who has and hasn’t viewed training modules

SUPPORT

Via our dedicated support desk, we offer a number of service packages:

  • Standard ‘Office Hours’ support

Mon-Fri, 9 to 5 excluding bank holidays 

  • Ad hoc ‘Out of Hours’ support

Outside of standard office hours, support can be provided on an adhoc basis, charged hourly

  • On-Site support

Onsite training and support, billed in 4 hour (half day) increments

  • 365/24/7 Support

Full comprehensive, 24 hour a day support number and on site support when required (Price on request)
